Mariah Robertson (US, 1975) is a Brooklyn-based artist notable for producing incredibly unique photographs and art prints. How thee signature, dysmorphic patinas that flow through her portfolio of original artwork are achieved would depend on the piece in question: her work titled 62 (2010), an otherworldly scan of wholly unfamiliar content, was made using unique color print on metallic paper; Nude with Afghani Export Rug (2007) features a highly stylized, deeply contrasted black-and-white effect achieved using silver gelatin print. A passionate experimenter by nature, Robertson's aesthetics can be extremely disarming.
Robertson has been exhibited in Moma PS1 Great, New York (2010) and Process(ing), Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin, Paris (2010).
